In hindsight, I can't believe I almost didn't make it to the wedding. Knowing how epic and awesome it was, being with Shovaen and all of my family who I love so much, that would have been a disaster of epic proportions. God be thanked, that Shovaen interceded to help me get there. He was like russian submarine commander Vasili Arkhipov, who single handedly averted nuclear holocaust in 1962. Yep, that's right. If you don't know about it, then look it up ;)
People were pretty astounded when I told them that I travelled all the way from Germany just for a few days in Texas. But as soon as I arrived it was as if all that separation of time and space had not existed. It was nice to arrive on the evening of some dances and food, but it wasn't until the next day until I got into my element - helping my brother Shovaen's get ready for one of the biggest days of his life.
Every measure was taken to make sure Sho was ready for his big day with you Jaya. Even a bit of magical hair growth powder.
The wedding girls had brought us some food, but everyone was too busy to actually eat! At least Bhaskar Fua and I got to it before it got cold :)
I know it was the same on your side too, Jaya, as I accompanied Shovaen to your suite before the wedding ceremony for some picture taking. Scores of girls were hustling and bustling around making sure things were going well. I could barely get a bottle of water...
Now at that point, Jaya, you and I had only video chatted a couple of times, but that's the first time we were in close quarters. The way you interacted with each other - asking each other quickly - you good, yeah, you too? I knew you guys made a great team.
Btw, the pictures of the you turned out fairytale-like, and it was the first time I saw pictures of the venue, at the venue itself! (later at the reception). Was really impressed with that.
Here are the grooms men including me standing by Sho and his sisters before the 'high time' came.
I say that because that's the word for wedding in German - Hochzeit - literally translated to HighTime. And indeed it was. One that we should keep alive for much time to come :)
